The winery Otronia located in Chubut Located in the far south of Patagonia, it is one of the southernmost quality wine projects in the world. The vineyards are situated near the 45th parallel on barren, windswept sites with sandy-stony soilsThe cool climate with strong temperature differences between day and night promotes slow ripening and gives the Pinot Noir freshness, aromatic clarity and elegant structure.
Expansion
The grapes were selectively hand-read and partly as whole bunches processed. Fermentation occurred spontaneously with natural yeasts. Aging took place predominantly in used barriquesto preserve the fruit and support a fine tannin structure. The wine matured for several months on the fine lees, which added depth and texture.
