Grande Réserve Brut Frerejean Frères – Champagne
Village wine
Origin
The Maison Frerejean Frères from Avize in the Côte des Blancs stands for modern champagne with artisanal precision. The grapes come from Premier and Grand Cru sites such as Cramant, Verzenay, and Grauves, lending the wine elegance and mineral depth.
Vinification
Blend of 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, and 20% Pinot Meunier. Traditional bottle fermentation with around 4 years of lees aging, creating complexity, creaminess, and a fine perlage.
Aroma and Taste
Fine aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers, and pastry notes. On the palate, it is elegant, harmonious, and creamy, supported by fresh acidity and a mineral structure. The finish is long, balanced, and precise.
Food Pairings
Ideal as an aperitif or with scallops, poultry, and asparagus dishes. Also excellent with goat cheese or young Comté.
Vintage Characteristics
As a Non-Vintage Cuvée, this champagne combines several vintages to ensure a consistent style with a balance of freshness and maturity.
Conclusion
A modern, elegant champagne that combines freshness, creaminess, and precision. The Grande Réserve Brut represents the house's philosophy: patience, craftsmanship, and expression of the terroir.
