Palatinate

Generous wines under an almost southern sun.

Palatinate as a wine region

The Palatinate is Germany's second-largest wine-growing region, stretching along the German Wine Route to the edge of the Mediterranean flora, where even figs and almonds thrive. The warm, sunny climate produces powerful and generous wines. Riesling here is riper and fuller than on the Moselle, while red varieties like Pinot Noir are playing an increasingly important role. Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc are also widespread. At Florian Fine Wine, we present wines from the Palatinate that embody warmth and richness.

Which wine from the Palatinate region goes well with which dish?

The robust wines of the Palatinate region pair well with hearty cuisine. A full-bodied Riesling complements robust dishes and fried fish. A Pinot Noir from the region adds aromatic depth to game and braised dishes. Our wine descriptions offer recommendations for the perfect food pairing.
