Product Information
2025 Mertesdorf Bruderberg Riesling Kabinett VDP.Grosse Lage – Weingut Maximin Grünhaus – Mosel
single-vineyard wine
Origin
The Bruderberg Riesling Kabinett 2025 from the Maximin Grünhaus winery comes from the estate's smallest monopole vineyard on the Ruwer river. At only around one hectare, the Bruderberg vineyard is characterized by cool blue slate soil and an easterly exposure, producing racy, saline, and herbaceous Rieslings.
Expansion
Selective hand-harvesting and spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts in large oak casks or stainless steel. A low must weight ensures classic Kabinett lightness. Vinification without fining preserves maximum clarity and terroir expression.
Aroma and taste
On the nose, apple, lime, and peach, along with herbs, blossoms, and slate spice. On the palate, taut, precise, and lively, with pronounced acidity and salty minerality. The finish is fresh, spicy, and long.
Food recommendation
Ideal with fish, seafood, or Asian cuisine. Also goes well with goat cheese.
Year 2025
The 2025 Bruderberg Kabinett is bottled young and fresh, showcasing the classic, light Kabinett style of the Ruwer region with low alcohol, lively acidity and salty minerality.
Conclusion
A racy, salty, and characterful Mosel Kabinett wine, full of tension and highly drinkable. Discover it at FFW.
