The “Unser Aufbruch” (Our Awakening) cuvée was created in 2020 as a collaborative project of the VDP wineries Robert Weil, Battenfeld-Spanier, and St. Antony. It unites top Rieslings from Rheingau and Rheinhessen and symbolizes unity and new beginnings in a special time.

Vinification

Selective hand-picking in the respective top vineyards, individual vinification in stainless steel and large wooden barrels with spontaneous fermentation, followed by assembly of the best batches. The strictly limited production of only 360 bottles emphasizes its unique character.

Aroma and Taste

On the nose, citrus, lime, and grapefruit, accompanied by herbs and smoky minerality. On the palate, crystalline, precise, and vibrant, with pronounced acidity and salty depth. The finish is long, complex, and lively.
