The Lamprecht manor house is located in Markt Hartmannsdorf, around 30 kilometers east of Graz, and is deeply connected to the region's history. As early as the Middle Ages, the Augustinian Canons practiced viticulture here before abandoning it in the 19th century. With unwavering tenacity, Gottfried Lamprecht reestablished viticulture in 2006 , focusing not on mainstream varieties but on the traditional Gemischter Satz . Today, at Buchertberg , his main vineyard, he grows Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, Morillon, Riesling, Furmint, Gutedel, Rotgipfler, Zierfandler, Adelfränkisch, as well as numerous old and partly forgotten varieties.
