Product Information
2021 Meursault 1er Cru "Poruzot" – Domaine Vincent Latour – Burgundy – 0.75 l
Origin
The Premier Cru vineyard Les Poruzots is one of Meursault's most renowned sites, situated on the sun-drenched south-facing slope towards Puligny-Montrachet. The soils of marl, limestone, and reddish clay impart power, minerality, and depth. Old vines from 1947 to 1991 ensure concentration and expression.
Vinification
Selective hand-harvesting and gentle pressing. Spontaneous fermentation in demi-muids (600 l) with approximately 30% new oak. Aged for 12 months on fine lees, followed by 4–6 months in stainless steel. The goal is a balance of structure, elegance, and terroir expression.
Aroma and Taste
On the nose, ripe citrus fruit, white flowers, and fresh almonds, complemented by fine roasted aromas. On the palate, powerful, dense, and structured, with lively acidity and saline minerality. The combination of richness, precision, and spice leads to a long, complex finish.
Food Pairings
Ideal with scallops, lobster, or fine fish. Also suitable for veal fillet, poultry, or aged cheeses such as Comté.
Vintage Characteristics in the Region
The 2021 vintage produced classically elegant, precise, and long-lived wines, with fresh acidity and great finesse.
Conclusion
The 2021 Meursault 1er Cru "Les Poruzots" is a powerful, mineral, and elegant top Burgundy wine. A Premier Cru with depth, structure, and great aging potential.
