Origin:

The Roseneck mountain is one of Rüdesheim's legendary steep slopes and is part of the famous "Rüdesheimer Berg." It owes its name to the wild rose hedges that still grow between the rocky outcrops. The site is characterized by slate-quartzite soils with loess-clay components , which lend the wines their racy structure, ripe, finely integrated acidity, and impressive longevity. Alexander Schregel cultivates a small, old parcel here, from which he vinifies a Riesling of great tension and depth.

The grapes were selectively hand-picked and, as is customary with Schregel, spontaneously fermented , unfiltered , and bottled with minimal sulfur .
