Origin

The Berg Roseneck is one of the great steep vineyards of the Rheingau and is characterized by slate and quartzite soils. Its exposed location above the Rhine provides cool, windy conditions and imparts precise minerality and tremendous tension to the wine.

Winemaking

The grapes are selectively hand-picked and spontaneously fermented. The wine is aged with minimal intervention in stainless steel and partly in wood with long lees contact to promote structure and depth.
